Welcome Event

PACE will be hosting a welcome event on the evening before the conference at Lemke Am Schloss, a historic brewery now owned by Lemke, a Berlin-based beer company.  It will be a great opportunity for SAPOE members to meet and mingle with our hosts over a beer (or two).

Social Event

Social Event

As we mentioned in our last conference update, we have a social event planned for the evening of the last day of the conference, October 10.

We are excited to announce that this year’s social event will be a 3-hour dinner cruise along the Spree River!  Imagine cruising down the river, taking in views of Berlin, enjoying food and bar service, all while chatting about the hottest aircraft performance-related topics!  

As in past years, there will be a fee of 75 US dollars per person for our event, which will go toward our exclusive time on the boat, the crew, and dinner.

Below is a link to PayPal, so you can use any standard credit card to prepay for the event.  PayPal membership isn’t required for using this link.  Please pay 75 US dollars, or, if you’re bringing a guest, 150 US dollars.  Receipts will be made available upon request, for those members who need one.

Hotel

As outlined in the first conference update message, we have made arrangements for reduced room rates with one hotel.

Securing reasonable hotel group rates for this year’s conference has proven to be quite a challenge.  Nevertheless, we have arranged for a block of a limited number of rooms for the nights of Oct 8^th – 10^th at the Ringhotel Seehof (https://www.hotel-seehof-berlin.de/default.aspx?lang=en).  Adjacent to a scenic park, the Ringhotel Seehof is about a 20-minute walk from PACE, or a simple one-stop ride on the S-Bahn.

In order to take advantage of the group rate (€108/night for single-occupancy, €116/night for double occupancy), SAPOE members must contact the hotel via email at [email protected] and provide the keyword:  SAPOEBerlin24.

There are only a limited number of rooms being held and the negotiated rates expire on August 31^st, so we recommend making your arrangements soon.

Other suitable hotels are also available in Berlin for individual reservations.  If you choose to locate your own hotel, we recommend that they are in proximity to the Zoologischer Garten; Savignyplatz; or Charlottenburg stations.  This provides convenient access to the meeting site.
